Focused on cosmetic-oriented family dentistry
We are proud to announce that Dr. Marc L. Montgomery officially became an Accredited Fellowed Member of the AACD on November 18, 2014. He received his medallion on-stage from the Fellowship Chairman of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in May of 2015. This is the highest dental credential that can be attained in the AACD.
Where accreditation requires passing 5 highly complex esthetic clinical cases, Fellowship requires passing 45 of 50 highly complex esthetic clinical cases. These 50 cases need to address a variety of different problems with anterior teeth ranging from broken teeth, worn teeth to crowded and missing teeth. The end results need to look completely ideal, natural and undetectable. This credential proves that all Fellowed dentists have the skill to create and perform at a high level a wide variety of challenging esthetic procedures.
He is now one of 3 in the state of Minnesota and 1 of 80 in the world that has achieved this highest level since 1984 (when this credentialing process has started). Now being Fellowed with the AACD, Dr. Montgomery joins the best of the best in the world in esthetic restorative dentistry.
In May of 2006, Dr. Montgomery received his Accreditation by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
Founded in 1984, the AACD is dedicated to continuing education in the rapidly evolving field of cosmetic dentistry. Accreditation represents the acknowledgment of a doctor’s excellence in cosmetic dentistry.
The process of gaining AACD accreditation often takes years to accomplish and requires a strong dedication to continuing education, combined with a firm resolve to produce exceptional dentistry.Dr. Marc Montgomery has completed all levels of membership provided by the AACD.

According to the AACD this is an explanation of what a fully accredited fellow is:
“Accredited Fellow is the highest credential earned in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). In addition to meeting the rigorous requirements of an Accredited Member, an Accredited Fellow has successfully completed cosmetic dentistry that meets the Accreditation standard of excellence set forth by the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry for an additional 45 patients. By successfully completing this process, an Accredited Fellow demonstrates a continued ability and sustained commitment to deliver excellence in cosmetic dentistry. The status of Accredited Fellow pertains to one individual and does not necessarily denote the credentials of other individuals within their practice.”
From my first consultation with Dr. Montgomery to my last adjustment, I have been so pleased with the whole experience — the friendly and helpful staff and all the attention given to details, including my comfort, the color of the teeth, and the preciseness of my bite. I have to credit Dr. Montgomery’s skill and persistence for successfully achieving a more comfortable bite and a much-improved look, for which I am very grateful.
