We’re very pleased to announce that Dr. Marc Montgomery, D.D.S, has recieved his Accreditation by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).

Founded in 1984, the AACD is dedicated to continuing education in the rapidly evolving field of cosmetic dentistry. Accreditation represents the acknowledgment of a doctor’s excellence in cosmetic dentistry.

The process of gaining AACD accreditation often takes years to accomplish and requires a strong dedication to continuing education, combined with a firm resolve to produce exceptional dentistry.

Candidates are given up to five years to complete the accreditation, and must partake in a three-part process including a written examination, submission of five highly complex Clinical Cases documenting superior diagnostic and clinical excellence. These cases are projected on a large screen and a panel of examiners from the AACD scrutinizes the results and grades them on 72 different criteria’s. If more than 3 criteria’s are missed the case will not pass and the candidate will need to start over on that case. Once the five cases have passed, the candidate will qualify for the oral examination with the accreditation board and must pass this final step.

With his AACD Accreditation, Dr. Montgomery joins an elite group of only 6 other dentists in Minnesota, and 248 dentists world wide who have achieved this prestigious recognition.
